Is a celebrant ceremony legally binding?
A celebrant cannot deliver a legally binding marriage ceremony in England & Wales. A couple must complete the legalities at a chosen register office, before or after, their chosen celebrant ceremony date. Prices do slightly vary but are usually fairly cheap & reasonable. If you need help navigating this, I will be happy to give you a hand.

Are there any additional costs?
I am based in Hebden Bridge - West Yorkshire and will cover a 40 mile radius without any additional charge. But don’t be put off if you live further afield. If this is the case, I would ask for 40p per mile outside of that distance. If your ceremony is longer than a 3 hour drive away, I would ask for 1 night accommodation so that I can arrive the night before to avoid any unwanted motorway delays or excessive travelling!

Is a rehearsal recommended? (weddings)
It is a good idea to have a rehearsal at the venue prior to the day of your wedding. This allows us to practice the order of service with the bridal/groom party, get a feel for the venue, and make sure everyone is aware of their cues and positions. Hopefully this will help the ceremony appear smooth and seamless on the big day! I would ask for an additional £50 for this + any travel outside of the 40 mile radius.

How does the payment work?
Payment works in 3 parts. The first payment I take is on completion of booking. The second payment is due prior to the first draft of your ceremony. And the last payment is due 4 weeks before the ceremony which may include any additional costs (ie. travel, accommodation, rehearsal). I will send out helpful reminders, I appreciate you have a lot to think about and keep on top of!
